Quick answer

In the valley, compare heat ratings, mounting on tile and stucco, and local service before you compare logos. The major systems use similar LED technology. The installer who puts it on your house, and backs it in year three, often matters more.

This site does not sell, install, or rank lighting systems. We have no partnership with any brand. The goal here is to help you ask better questions, not to steer you toward a logo.

Start with your house, not the brochure

Brand websites tend to show the same thing: a lit house at dusk. What they do not show is how the track attaches to a stucco-wrapped fascia under a concrete tile edge, or how the power supply holds up in a garage in August. In the Las Vegas Valley, those details decide whether you are happy in a few years.

Before you look at brands, know three things about your home: how many stories you want lit, what the roof edge is made of, and where an outlet and shaded wall are for the electronics.

The brands in brief

These are the names homeowners run into most often. How each is sold affects who installs it and who services it.

Desert questions to ask about any brand

Ask every installer the same list, then compare answers side by side.

More detail is in our desert heat and UV guide.

How it looks by day

You will see the track in daylight far more often than you see it lit. Ask each installer which track colors the brand offers and hold a sample against your fascia. Light tan, beige, and off-white trim are common here. A good match is also what most HOA design review committees care about.

At night, ask to see a white scene in person. Systems with a separate white diode often look warmer against stucco than whites mixed from color.

Who fixes it later

A dead section or a failed power supply is when the installer matters most. Before you choose:

Building a shortlist

  1. Pick two or three systems whose daytime look and app you like.
  2. Find local installers for those systems and ask each for a measured, itemized quote.
  3. Compare per-foot price, heat ratings, mounting method, and warranty, not just the total.
  4. Choose the installer you trust to come back when something needs attention.

For help comparing installers, see how to choose an installer, or request quotes from independent local pros.

Frequently asked questions

Do some brands handle Las Vegas heat better than others?

Each brand publishes its own ratings, and they change over time. Ask for the current spec sheet and compare the rated operating temperature and warranty terms directly.

Is there a local dealer for every brand in the valley?

Coverage varies and changes. Ask each company which brands they carry and whether your address is in their service area.

Can I add a different brand onto my existing system later?

Usually not. Track, LEDs, and controllers are generally designed to work within one brand, so plan any future additions with the same system.
